Public release of the MINAL3 program

The MINAL3 program has undergone significant changes and has become publicly available. The most important innovations are:

  • Custom coefficients for calculation of formulae with distribution of elements on sites are calculated, of important parameters (like xMg), including those used for diagrams (see the Minerals folder)
  • Plotting diagrams using the TriQuick program
  • Export to other applications (mainly based on MS Excel documents)
  • Additional parameters for calculating formula coefficients
  • Improved import from the JEOL Analysis Station program
The program now has its own web page with some tutorial videos. A short article has been published.
